Green Voices & Global Advocacy Programme
1. Engagement in Climate Change Advocacy and Activism at National, Regional, and International Forums
At Little Hands Go Green, we are deeply committed to advocating for climate action, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment at all levels - from local communities to global platforms. Our dedicated team, including staff members and child Green Ambassadors, actively participates in various national, regional, and international events, conferences, and forums on climate change to share insights, contribute to discussions, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive positive change and promote sustainable development. Our team and Green Ambassadors have actively participated in national events, workshops, and conferences on climate change, sharing their experiences, insights, and initiatives aimed at raising awareness, inspiring action, and fostering collaboration among different stakeholders to address climate-related challenges and promote sustainable practices at the local level. Our organizational head and child green ambassadors have been an active member of the Ugandan delegation to the Conference of the Parties (COP) and other international climate change conferences and summits such as the 6th Climate Change and Development in Africa Conference, Sessions of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development and the African Union summit. By participating in these global platforms, the Little Hands Go Green team advocates for the rights, interests and highlights the importance of engaging children and young people in climate action.
2. Commemoration of International days
Little Hands Go Green actively commemorates various international days by engaging in a range of impactful child oriented activities that align with each occasion's theme. On days such as the World Environment Day, International Day of the African Child, International Youth Day, or other significant dates, we organize events and initiatives tailored to promote environmental awareness, empower and support children in environmental stewardship. From providing waste bins and conducting awareness campaigns to organizing cultural activities and workshops on green skills and sustainability, our efforts aim to inspire action and create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
