Our Impact

Our Impact over the years!

Little Hands Go Green has taken centre stage in driving civic engagement and social awareness using environmental conservation education as our main pillar, meaningful child participation, echoing child rights especially the girl child and driving gender equality.

Green Festivals as a tool for civic engagement

Since 2012, we hold the only Green Festival in Africa. An event that brings together over 15,000 children accompanied by their Parents, Guardians and Teachers, and anchored on the premise of creating an impact on our environment and green footprint. Through our annual Green Festival events, we have successfully mobilized and sensitized children and their families, expanded our civic engagement and created a platform for environmental awareness.

Networks Created

We have established a network of over 450 schools nationwide, each with dedicated Green ambassadors, creating a powerful force for environmental action and awareness. Our reach extends across more than 40 districts in Uganda, and we have expanded beyond borders, establishing a Little Hands Go Green network in Rwanda and Kenya.

Policies Influenced

As implementing partners for several government agencies and deparrments like NEMA (National Environment Management Authority of Uganda), NFA (National Forestry Authority) and KCCA (Kampala Capital City Authority) among others, we have managed to impact and influence various policies with regard to Children with Disabilities, ECD, and the use of Polythene Bags among others.

Projects Implemented

Through the implementation of these impactful projects, Little Hands Go Green has made significant strides in promoting environmental consciousness, fostering international collaboration, and empowering children to drive positive change. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to building a sustainable future while amplifying the voices of the next generation in the global fight against climate change and environmental injustice.
