What We Do
Our Areas of Focus
Little Hands Go Green's focus areas are interconnected and reflect the organization's commitment to creating a sustainable and equitable world for all, where the environment is protected, children's rights are respected, and communities thrive.
These focus areas include civic engagement, climate change, gender equality, meaningful child participation, and children’s rights.
1. Civic Engagement
Our Civic engagement model combines fun and entertainment with community based barrazas, workshops, and conferences among others. We drive our engagement on social issues through the following: green festivals, a green ambassadors' conference, a green patrons' conference, and climate change marches among others.
2. Climate Change
We recognize the urgent need to address climate change and its impact on the environment and society. Little Hands Go Green focuses on raising awareness about the causes and effects of climate change, promoting sustainable practices, and advocating for policies that support climate action.
3. Gender Equality
We are committed to promoting gender equality by advocating for the rights of girls and women and providing them with equal opportunities to participate in environmental conservation and community development initiatives. The organization works to address the root causes of gender inequality and empower girls to take on leadership roles in their communities.
4. Meaningful Child Participation
Children have a right to participate in decisions that affect their lives and the environment around them. Our focus is on creating opportunities for children to engage in environmental conservation activities, providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to become active and responsible members of their communities.
5. Children's Rights
Little Hands Go Green is dedicated to advocating for the rights of children, particularly the right to a safe and healthy environment. The organization works to promote children's participation in decision-making processes, protect them from abuse and exploitation, and ensure that their rights are respected and upheld.
