Who We Are

Driving Civic Engagement and Social Awareness for Environmental Conservation and Child Rights since May 2012

Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green is a civil society organization that nurtures and empowers children as the main drivers of environmental conservation education in their schools, homes and communities.

Since inception in 2012, Little Hands Go Green has dedicated time and resources to pioneering a model that seeks to assign proprietary interest of a green future to our children.

Our initiatives are designed to nurture a deep-rooted love and passion for the environment among children through engaging and entertaining activities. By harnessing the enthusiasm and creativity of young minds, we aim to promote a culture of environmental stewardship that transcends generations.

Today, Little Hands Go Green proudly stands as the largest child-led civic engagement organization in Uganda and across East Africa. We take pride in our role as facilitators, mentors, and champions for the next generation of environmental stewards, guiding them towards a brighter and greener future for all.

Join us on our journey as we continue to empower children, transform communities, and pave the way for a sustainable and environmentally conscious Uganda.

To date, we have planted over 872,000 trees across various districts with still a lot more work to do.

Over a decade ago, I led a team of Green Climate Justice ambassadors to Yumbe District in West Nile and we launched Little Hands Go Green. Like St. Mother Theresa used to say, “We can not all do great things, but we can do small things with Great Love.” Thank you all for the Green love, Advocacy, and Support over the years! Keep it Green Always.
