Ahead of the launch of Bukedea Teaching Hospital by President Museveni, the host and speaker of parliament, Rt. Hon. Anitah Among planted a tree at the hospital to kick off the tree-planting campaign in Bukedea.
On March 29 2024, Rt. Hon. Anitah Among was accompanied by our Green ambassadors from Bukedea Township Primary School, as she initiated a tree-planting drive in Bukedea. Together, they planted a tree at the Bukedea Teaching Hospital ahead of its inauguration by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the president of Uganda.
Located in Bukedea Town Council, about 33 kilometers along the Mbale-Kumi highway, the teaching hospital will offer specialized and general treatment to patients for various health conditions.
In line with the speaker’s environmental efforts, Little Hands Go Green was present to demonstrate a dedicated approach to combating climate change. The Green Ambassadors exemplified dedication by planting trees with the host, Rt. Hon. Anitah Among. This active participation in the Speaker’s initiative toward environmental restoration shows commitment to sustainability & community prosperity.
